Kobold

k

The race of kobolds are reputed to be an artificial creation of a master wizard (demi-god?). They are about 3' tall with a vaguely dog-like face. They bear a violent dislike of the Elven race, and will go out of their way to cause trouble for Elves at any time.

Kobolds. Ubiquitous low-level creatures in many an rpg, but where else would you encounter them? I have never seen a graphic depiction of one or read a book/seen a movie featuring them. I suppose they were in the AD&D Monster Manual, but I don't remember what they looked like. Bad dog.

"In the original Dungeons & Dragons game, Kobolds were considered goblinoids but they have been depicted as reptilian humanoids since the release of the first edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game." From Wikipedia:Kobold (Dungeons and Dragons). Other games have depicted them as canine, so take your pick.

A 'canine kobold' would be a werewolf of some kind. Kobolds are rat-men and always have been - just read the AD&D Monster Manual. They also have a long history; one could even speak of a kobold archetype, as there are many cultures with legends of rodent-men, usually sneaky and thieving creatures of evil.

The kobold pictured here looks ugly enough, that's for sure. Its features resemble a bat to my eyes, which wouldn't be too untruthful as the bat is phylogenetically most closely related to the rats and rodents in general.

Efficient turtle monkeys use my brain.

Can't you tell?

You should use them.

They are consistently efficient.
They are there to be used.

I think it's time you used one.
